Mosaic Shattered China I create my “Shattered China" jewelry using recycled pieces of broken pottery or fine china, allowing the beauty of a broken piece to live on as a wearable work of art. I hand create the mount for the broken piece using a special clay mounting I developed (this process takes about a week), resulting in a beautiful backdrop showcasing the china and protecting the wearer from any sharp edges. The pendant is then strung using a variety of methods including; simple cords, beads, vintage elements, and my favorite; semi-precious stones. The broken piece may have been plate, a tea cup, a vase, or any other piece of china or pottery that has been broken beyond repair. The pieces are broken naturally (no "contrived" cuts, like circles, hearts & squares), this ensures each piece is completely unique and creating an organic effect. Note: The idea for this jewelry came after an unfortunate accident with an antique plate (I'm still very sorry, Mom!).
Unique Creations My "Unique Creations" jewelry is created by using traditional and non-traditional (often re-cycled) materials to create focal components, strung, using a variety of methods including; simple cords, beads, vintage elements, and my favorite; semi-precious stones.
Bent Spoon Jewelry Bringing a new perspective and a fresh eye to a classic art form, I create my Bent Spoon Jewelry using old tourist spoons (my favorite), spoons, forks and occasionally even knives.
